Why Turkish Search Needs a Local Team
Customers in Turkey search in Turkish, and the companies that come up first are usually Turkish companies that have been building their search presence for years. A translated website rarely wins those searches: a translation follows your original wording, while your customers describe the same need in their own words.
Google handles about three out of four searches in Turkey, and most of the rest go to Yandex (Statcounter, October 2026). Ranking on Google there depends on the same things as anywhere else: a site Google can crawl, pages written around the words people actually type, and links from relevant sites. In Turkey, all three have to be built in Turkish.
That is the work we do. We research how your customers search in Turkish, write the content in native Turkish and build your site's reputation with Turkish sources, while you work with us in English.
What Our SEO Work Covers
SEO looks like a single job from the outside, but it is a set of connected tasks. This is what we cover in a project, explained without hiding behind technical terms.
Turkish Keyword and Competitor Research
We find the words your customers type in Turkish. Alongside the main terms, we list the longer searches with clearer intent, because sales often come from that second group. We run the same research for your Turkish competitors to find the searches where they appear and you don't, and we track rankings regularly.
Technical Audit and Fixes
We check that Google can crawl your site without problems:
- Crawlability: whether search engines can reach the pages you want indexed. A wrong setting that hides pages from Google is more common than you might think.
- Broken and redirected URLs: pages that return errors, unnecessary redirects and redirect chains.
- Duplicate pages: when the same content sits at several URLs, Google picks one itself, often not the one you want. We mark the right one.
- Orphan pages: pages no other page links to, which neither visitors nor Google can find.
- Language versions: if your site serves several countries, we check that Google shows Turkish users your Turkish pages.
- Speed: a slow page loses visitors and rankings. We improve caching, image sizes and server response time.
On-Page Optimization
We rework the titles and descriptions shown in search results, the heading structure and the links between your pages. We compress and label images, and set up structured data and the tags that control how your pages look when shared on social media.
Native Turkish Content
We plan which page covers which topic and check whether your current content is enough. Content is written in native Turkish. Depending on your industry, we write it or your team does: in fields such as medicine or law, your experts write and we provide the topic plan and writing guidelines.
Off-Page Work
We map your current link profile, check which sites link to you and whether those links carry value, and scan your competitors' link sources to find the ones that suit you.
Conversion
More visitors is not enough on its own. We make it easy for visitors from Turkey to contact you: visible contact details, short forms, and phone and WhatsApp links that work on mobile. If traffic grows and inquiries don't, the problem is the page, not the ranking.
Measurement and Reporting in English
We set up Google Analytics and Search Console in your company's name and record your starting point, so progress is measured against it. Every month we report in English what we did, why we did it and what changed.
How We Work with You from Abroad
We work remotely with companies outside Turkey. Meetings and reports are in English, and our working hours (UTC+3) overlap with the UK, Europe and the Gulf.
Free analysis
We review your site from its technical setup to its content, and show where you stand in Turkish searches and where competitors are ahead. We don't charge for this step.
Roadmap and quote
We rank what we find by expected return and send you a month-by-month plan with a quote in US dollars.
Implementation
We start with technical fixes, then move to content and off-page work. We make the changes on your site ourselves.
Reporting and progress
Every month we report on the work and the movement in rankings, and update the plan based on the data.

Who We Work With
The shape of the work depends on how you sell in Turkey.
E-commerce Brands Selling in Turkey
With thousands of product pages, filters and changing stock, the obstacle to organic sales is usually not content but Google getting lost in the site. We give category pages unique Turkish copy, replace manufacturer descriptions on product pages, control which filter pages get indexed, mark up products with structured data and speed up image-heavy pages.
Service and B2B Companies
Searches for services are fewer, but each one is worth more: a few inquiries a month from the right companies can cover the budget. So we build on searches where the need is clear, give every service its own Turkish page and shorten the path to your quote form.
Companies Opening a Location in Turkey
Showing up in Google Maps requires a Business Profile with a real address. Once you have a location in Turkey, we set up the profile, its categories and services, keep your name, address and phone number identical across Turkish directories, and create pages for city searches.
How Long Does SEO Take?
SEO is not a one-off fix; it is an investment that builds up over time. Four things decide how long it takes:
- Competition: the stronger the competition in your field, the longer it takes to move up.
- Your site's current state: technical setup, content quality and the site's history all affect the timeline. If you don't have Turkish pages yet, the clock starts when they go live.
- Target searches: ranking for broad searches across Turkey takes longer than ranking for specific searches where the need is clear.
- Scope of the work: the more content and fixes go in each month, the faster progress comes.
The first meaningful improvements usually appear within 3 to 6 months. Reaching full potential and building strong authority takes 6 months to a year.
Results don't mean the work is over. Google keeps updating its algorithm and your competitors keep working, so holding your rankings and growing into new searches takes ongoing work.
What Determines the Price of SEO?
SEO has no fixed price, because the work is different on every site. A brand-new site and one that has been live for years, with past mistakes to clean up, don't need the same effort. When we prepare a quote, we look at:
- Your site's current state: is the technical setup sound, has the site been penalized, is the content enough?
- Competition: who are you up against? Competing with national brands takes different work than competing with a few niche players.
- Target scope: one city or all of Turkey? How many products or services do you want to rank for?
- Content needs: will we write the content, or will your team? Content is one of the most labor-intensive parts of the work.
- Site size: auditing and fixing a ten-page site is not the same as an online store with thousands of products.
That is why we don't publish package prices. We analyze your site for free, work out what needs to be done in what order, and then send you a quote in US dollars.
SEO or Google Ads? Where Should You Start?
| Comparison criterion | SEO | Google Ads |
|---|---|---|
| What it covers | Technical and content work to rank higher in organic search results. | Paid ads in Google search results and Google's other ad placements. |
| Cost | No cost per click. The investment is time and work. | You pay for clicks from your ad budget. |
| Time to results | First meaningful improvements in 3 to 6 months. | Ads start showing the day the campaign goes live. |
| Durability | The effect lasts for a while even if the work slows down. | Visibility stops when the budget stops. |
| How users see it | Organic results read as a neutral ranking. | The "Sponsored" label shows users the placement is paid. |
When you are entering Turkey, Google Ads is a fast way to test demand: within weeks, you see which Turkish searches bring inquiries. SEO then builds lasting rankings on the searches that proved themselves. If your budget allows both, the most efficient setup ties them into one strategy, and our Google Ads management works this way.

Why Work with DigienSEO?
We Start with a Free Analysis
We prepare our quote only after reviewing your site. The analysis is free, and we share what we find as it is.
We Don't Work with Your Competitors
We don't take on two companies competing for the same service, in the same city, on the same keywords.
We Do the Implementation
Instead of handing you a to-do list, we make the changes on your site ourselves, so responsibility for the result stays with us.
One Team for Everything
The same team runs your website, ads and SEO, so nothing waits on another vendor.
A Performance Guarantee, Not a Ranking Promise
No one can guarantee a specific ranking. We don't guarantee first place, we guarantee performance. That means a guaranteed improvement on your initial report.
We Learn Your Industry
The knowledge that makes content unique is yours. We learn what your customers ask and what sets you apart, and build that into your Turkish content.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, because no one can. Google decides rankings and updates its algorithm many times a year, and it warns against anyone who promises a first place. We guarantee performance instead: better performance than in your initial report, which you follow in every monthly report.
Who writes the Turkish content?
Depending on your industry, we write it or your team does. We write in native Turkish, based on what you tell us: what your customers ask and what sets you apart. In fields such as medicine or law, your experts write, and we provide the topic plan and writing guidelines.
Do we need a .com.tr domain or a server in Turkey?
Neither is required. Google treats a country domain such as .com.tr as a strong signal that a site is meant for Turkey, but a Turkish section on your existing domain (for example yoursite.com/tr/) also works when it is set up correctly. Google doesn't treat server location as a definitive signal. Turkish content, prices in Turkish lira, a Turkish address and phone number, and links from Turkish sites all tell Google who the pages are for. We help you choose the setup that fits your business.
Can you make changes if our developers are abroad?
We prefer to get access and make the changes ourselves. SEO is made of many small, connected edits, and doing them ourselves is faster and keeps responsibility clear. If your developers need to keep control, we send them a prioritized list, but the work moves more slowly that way.
Is there a long-term contract?
SEO works month by month, because results build up over time. We don't believe in long commitments that tie you in. You should decide whether to continue based on the work and the reports.
Do you work with our competitors?
No. We don't work at the same time with two companies targeting the same keywords for the same service in the same city. If we already work with a company in your field and area, we tell you before we start.
What reports do we get, and how often?
Every month, in English: the work done, ranking movement, organic traffic and what visitors do on your site, with a written explanation. Analytics and Search Console are set up in your company's name, so you can check the data yourself at any time.
Can a penalized site recover?
In most cases, yes. We first find out whether the drop comes from a manual action or an algorithm update, because the two are fixed differently. If Search Console shows a manual action, we fix the cause and request a review. Recovery time depends on the size of the problem.
Should we start with SEO or Google Ads?
If you need results fast and have a budget, start with ads: they show from the day the campaign goes live. SEO takes time, but your traffic doesn't drop to zero when you pause it. For most companies the right path is both: ads cover demand now, and SEO reduces your dependence on ads over time. We decide the order together in our first call.
Will rankings drop if we stop?
The fixes and content we put in place stay. But your competitors keep working and Google keeps updating, so rankings don't collapse overnight; they slip over time. We tell you this up front.
