In Short

  • We use analytics and marketing cookies only for the purposes you allow. If you don’t allow them, Google receives a limited measurement signal that doesn’t identify you.
  • We use Google Analytics for analytics, and Google Ads and Meta to measure our ads. These companies process data outside Türkiye.
  • We also count visits with Vercel Analytics, which uses no cookies.
  • You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

Data Controller

We prepared this text as the data controller under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. The site reads it on your next visit and remembers you or your choice. In this policy we also cover a similar record we save in your browser’s storage (localStorage) and advertising pixels.

A cookie saved by the site you visit is a first-party cookie; one saved by another company’s domain is a third-party cookie. Your browser deletes some cookies when you close it and keeps others for the period in the table. The periods in the table are the longest periods; your browser may shorten them. Chrome, for example, keeps a cookie for at most 400 days.

Cookies We Use

We use cookies for three purposes. We don’t ask for permission for the preference record; we use analytics and marketing cookies only for the purposes you allow.

Strictly necessary record

To remember your cookie choice, we save a single record in your browser’s storage at the moment you make your choice. Without it, the preferences window would open again on every page.

CookieProviderPurposeTypeDuration
cookie_consentProvider: DigienSEOPurpose: Keeps your cookie choice, your consent ID and the date of your choice. The record stays in your browser until you delete it; we treat a choice older than 12 months as expired and ask you again.Type: Browser storageDuration: 12 months

When you make your choice, we also save a record on our server so that we can prove your consent. It contains your randomly generated consent ID, your choice, the date and time, the version of the preferences window and the language of the site. We don’t write your IP address or browser details into this record. We keep it in Upstash’s database in Frankfurt, Germany, and delete it after 2 years.

Analytics cookies

We measure which pages are read and where visitors come from, and improve the site accordingly. Google Analytics uses the cookies below for this. Google’s page on partner sites explains how Google uses this data.

CookieProviderPurposeTypeDuration
_gaProvider: GooglePurpose: Tells your browser apart between visits and counts visitors.Type: First partyDuration: 2 years
_ga_074SZGR84CProvider: GooglePurpose: Keeps the session of your visit and the number of pages viewed.Type: First partyDuration: 2 years

Marketing cookies

We measure how many visits and quote requests our Google and Meta ads bring in. We show our ads to people who have visited our site on Google, on Google’s partner sites and in Meta’s apps (Facebook, Instagram). Google and Meta recognize your earlier visit for these ads with their own cookies.

CookieProviderPurposeTypeDuration
_gcl_auProvider: GooglePurpose: Measures the quote requests and visits that Google ads bring in.Type: First partyDuration: 90 days
_gcl_awProvider: GooglePurpose: If you came by clicking a Google ad, keeps the click ID and measures the result of the ad.Type: First partyDuration: 90 days
Google cookies (e.g. IDE, NID)Provider: GooglePurpose: Advertising cookies Google keeps on its own domains. Google uses them to show our ads to people who visited our site. You can find their names and periods in Google’s list.Type: Third partyDuration: Listed by the provider
_fbpProvider: MetaPurpose: Identifies your browser to Meta and measures the results of Meta ads.Type: First partyDuration: 90 days
_fbcProvider: MetaPurpose: If you came by clicking a Meta ad (Facebook, Instagram), keeps the click ID.Type: First partyDuration: 90 days
Meta cookies (facebook.com)Provider: MetaPurpose: Advertising cookies Meta keeps on its own domain. Meta’s Cookie Policy explains them.Type: Third partyDuration: Listed by the provider

If You Don’t Give Permission

If you don’t allow analytics and marketing cookies, the Meta pixel doesn’t run at all. The Google Analytics and Google Ads tags still load, but they don’t save cookies on your device or read existing Google cookies.

In that case Google receives a cookieless measurement signal for each page. The signal contains the time, your browser type, the page you came from, your consent status and whether you came by clicking an ad. It carries no ID that identifies you, and we don’t send Google the ID of an ad click either.

Because your browser connects to Google, Google sees your IP address. According to Google, Google Analytics doesn’t store IP addresses, and Google’s advertising products shorten the IP address when they receive it.

Tools That Don’t Use Cookies

Vercel Analytics

We count visits and page views with the measurement tool of Vercel, which hosts our website. The tool uses no cookies or browser storage. It tells visitors apart with a summary made from the request your browser sends, and deletes that summary after 24 hours. No information that shows who you are reaches us, and the tool doesn’t follow you on other sites. That’s why we don’t ask for permission for this count.

Data Transfers

We transfer the data collected through the cookies you allow to the company that provides the tool. We transfer analytics data to Google, and marketing data to Google and Meta. We keep the consent record with Upstash and the Vercel Analytics count with Vercel.

All these companies process data outside Türkiye. Google, Meta, Vercel and Upstash are based in the United States. Upstash keeps the consent records on its server in Germany.

Changing Your Choice

You can change your choice at any time. The button below and the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of every page open the preferences window. When you withdraw a permission, we delete the cookies for that purpose from your browser.

We treat your choice as valid for 12 months. When this period ends, or when our list of cookies changes, we ask you again.

Google and Meta settings

You can turn off ads that Google shows based on your interests on the My Ad Center page. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data from your browser with Google’s add-on. Meta’s ad preferences page explains your choices for Meta ads. You can turn off personalized ads from many advertising companies working in Europe on the Your Online Choices page.

Browser settings

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings. The help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge explain how. If you delete the preference record in your browser’s storage, the preferences window opens again on your next visit.

Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

  • learn whether we process your personal data and, if we do, request information about it
  • learn the purpose of the processing and whether we use your data for that purpose
  • know the parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom we transfer your data
  • have incomplete or inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted or destroyed
  • have the parties we transferred your data to informed of a correction or deletion
  • object to a result against you that comes only from analysis by automated systems
  • claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing

You can send your request to info@digienseo.com from the email address you have already given us, or send it to our address in writing. If your request is about your cookie consent, include the consent ID you see in the preferences window so that we can find your record.

We resolve your request free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you find our answer unsatisfactory, or if you get no answer within 30 days, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu).

Changes

When our list of cookies or our purposes change, we update this policy and the date at the top of the page. When we add a new tool or purpose, the preferences window asks you again.

If you have questions about this policy, write to us at info@digienseo.com
